ASD Social ClubĀ
It's hard enough being a kid, tween, or teen, let alone being someone who is on the spectrum. The ASD Social Club was formed to help like-minded elementary students, middle schoolers, and high schoolers connect so they feel more understood and less alone. Through both in-person and remote gatherings, participants with autism can take time to interact, connect, and develop/practice social skills in a safe environment, led by a former special educator who spent 19 yearsĀ working with this amazing population. Where is it?
The club will most likely be run using a hybrid model where some meetings will be held in person and others will be run online. The in-person location is TBD. The goal is to find a free location, such as a local library, to minimize costs and make the group accessible to all.
